This black-finished model integrates AIS target reception, a built-in GPS receiver, full NMEA 2000 networking, and a 30-watt loud hailer/PA system to deliver unmatched performance on coastal, offshore, and blue-water passages. 

With an integrated AIS receiver and display, the GX2400B shows nearby vessel information — including MMSI, call sign, ship name, bearing, distance, speed over ground (SOG), and course over ground (COG) — directly on the large front-panel screen. This helps you track traffic around your vessel and alerts you when other AIS targets are approaching too close. 

The unit combines Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) with a dedicated Channel 70 receiver, ensuring continuous monitoring of distress and safety channels while you operate on other channels. Its built-in 66-channel GPS receiver provides navigation data such as GPS compass, waypoint navigation, latitude/longitude, and navigation status in real time. 

A powerful 30 W public address/loud hailer system with programmed fog signals and listen-back capability enhances onboard communication. The last selected VHF channel can still be monitored while in hailer mode, and the included voice scrambler allows secure private communication when paired with compatible Scrambler-equipped radios.
