The Standard Horizon HX891BT is a feature-packed handheld marine VHF transceiver designed for reliable communication, safety, and modern connectivity on the water. Built with an ergonomic, navy blue floating case and rugged construction that meets Military Standard (MIL-STD-810F), this VHF radio delivers durable performance in harsh marine conditions and continues to float if dropped overboard.
Equipped with integrated Bluetooth connectivity, you can pair the HX891BT with compatible headsets or mobile devices for hands-free operation, making docking and multitasking easier for you and your crew. The radio also features a built-in 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver and full Digital Selective Calling (DSC) functions — including distress with position, individual call, group call, and position request — so you’re prepared for emergencies and can share precise location information when needed.
With a selectable 6/2/1 W transmit power, this handheld offers flexible range control for varying water conditions, while a large full dot-matrix display makes text, icons, and navigation menus easy to read in bright daylight or at night. Additional features include FM broadcast radio reception, NOAA weather channels with alerts, waypoint and route navigation, group monitor functions, and secure communication scrambler systems.

The HX891BTNB acts as a mini-chartplotter. You can log your track, navigate to a specific waypoint, or use the MOB (Man Overboard) function to instantly mark a location. In a distress situation, the dedicated DSC button on the back of the radio sends your coordinates and MMSI number to the Coast Guard and all nearby vessels.
