Key Performance Features

Installation Tips

• The Cut-Out: You will need a 2-1/2" hole saw to install this latch. Ensure the area under the deck is clear of wiring or fuel lines before drilling.

• Orientation: When installing the cam, ensure that in the "closed" position, the handle is folded flat away from the direction of foot traffic to minimize any potential (though small) trip hazard.

• Watertight Integrity: While the latch includes a gasket, applying a small bead of marine-grade silicone (like 3M 4000UV) around the underside of the flange before tightening will ensure no water seeps into your core material.

Do you need the locking version for security?

The 221920-1 is a non-locking model. If you need to secure a cabin entry or expensive tackle locker, Sea-Dog makes a keyed version of this same latch.
