Schmitt Marine Heavy Duty 2-Speed Wiper Motor - 3.5" Shaft - 12V - 32991

The Schmitt Marine 32991 is a heavy-duty, 2-speed windshield wiper motor designed for offshore marine environments.1 Featuring a 3.5" long shaft, this motor is ideal for thick bulkheads or cabin walls. It is a reliable choice for larger boats, capable of powering arms and blades up to 24 inches in length.

Powerful & Versatile Performance

Built with a high-torque motor (8.5 ft-lb / 11.5 N.m), the 32991 provides the strength needed to clear heavy spray and rain from large glass surfaces. It offers two speeds (35 or 55 sweeps per minute) and a user-adjustable sweep angle, making it highly adaptable to different windshield shapes and sizes.

Key Features:

  • Marine-Grade Materials: Features a 316 stainless steel shaft, a chrome-plated brass shaft housing, and a black powder-coated aluminum motor housing for superior heat dissipation and corrosion resistance.

  • Adjustable Sweep Angles: Can be easily configured for 45°, 60°, 80°, or 110° sweeps to match your specific field of vision requirements.

  • Self-Parking: Includes an adjustable parking position (Left or Right), ensuring the wiper arm clears the view when turned off.

  • High Torque Capacity: Robust enough to power up to a 24" arm and 22" blade combination.

  • Insulated Grounding: Suitable for use on steel, aluminum, wood, or fiberglass (GRP) hulls without risk of electrolytic corrosion.

  • 3-Year Warranty: Backed by Schmitt Marine’s guaranteed durability for heavy-duty use.

Installation Pro-Tip:

Before finalizing your installation, dry-fit the motor and test the sweep angle and park position. Adjusting these settings is much easier before the motor is fully mounted in a tight space behind the dashboard. To change the sweep angle, you simply move the internal drive pin to the corresponding hole on the drive gear (labeled for each degree).
