• Clean the Basket: If debris is present, unscrew the top nut, lift the cover, and rinse the stainless steel basket with fresh water.

• Gasket Care: Periodically inspect the cork/rubber cover gasket for signs of wear to ensure a vacuum-tight seal (preventing air from entering the cooling line).

Installation & Maintenance Tips

• Flow Direction: Observe the "In" and "Out" markings on the bronze casting. Installing it backward will significantly reduce filtration efficiency.

• Sealing: Use a small amount of marine-grade waterproof grease (like Tef-Gel or Lanocote) on the top wing nut threads and the cap gasket to ensure a vacuum-tight seal and easy removal later.
