Fitment Compatibility
The 27411 is designed for the newer generation of Mercury gearcases;

Mercury: 175, 200, and 225 HP V6 4-Stroke (Pro XS models) with the 4.8" Gearcase — 2019 to Present

Compatibility Tip: This model is specifically for the newer "V6" platform. If you have an older 2-stroke Optimax or a Verado, you likely need the 27211.
Installation in 4 Steps

Prep: File any jagged edges or "spurs" on your broken skeg so the guard can slide on smoothly.

Seat: Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the SkegGuard onto the skeg until it is fully seated against the gearcase.

Drill: Using the pre-drilled holes in the SkegGuard as your guide, drill two 1/4" holes through your aluminum skeg.

Secure: Install the provided stainless steel "Chicago-style" bolts and tighten using the hex keys included in the kit.
