The Maretron SSC300-01 Solid-State Rate/Gyro Compass is a high-precision navigation sensor designed to deliver accurate heading, rate-of-turn, pitch, and roll data for advanced marine electronics systems. Utilizing a combination of 3-axis magnetometer, 3-axis gyro, and 3-axis accelerometer, the SSC300 delivers highly stable and responsive data output. It achieves better than 0.7° heading accuracy through ±45° of pitch and roll, ensuring dependable navigation and system integration. 

This compass is ideal for applications such as autopilot systems, radar overlay, AIS stabilization, and vessel monitoring, where precise heading and motion data are critical. The unit outputs both NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183 data, allowing seamless integration with a wide range of marine electronics.

Each SSC300 is factory calibrated for maximum accuracy and features a rugged, IP67-rated waterproof enclosure, making it suitable for harsh marine environments.

• Placement: For optimal performance, the unit should be mounted near the center of gravity of the vessel, away from large engines, speakers, or high-current wiring that could create magnetic interference.

• Cable Requirement: This model (SSC300-01) is the core sensor only. You will need a standard NMEA 2000 drop cable or an NMEA 0183 cable (depending on your network) for power and data transmission.

• Configuration: Can be configured and calibrated using a Maretron DSM-series display or the N2KAnalyzer software via an USB gateway.
