Ceramic Top uses a permanent chemical bond to either bond directly to your boats gelcoat or topcoat, or a previously installed layer of Ceramic Base.

Simple steps to help you get the best results:

• If applying directly to gelcoat or topcoat, polish the surface to remove any imperfections.


• Ceramic Top bonds best to surgically clean surfaces. Use Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre to remove all polish residue.


• Soak the application pad with product. Spread onto an area measuring no more than 2 by 2 (60 x 60cm) and remove residue with a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre.


• Product usage The amount of product you will need will vary depending on factors such as the micro porosity of either your gel coat or marine topcoat. The requirement will be anywhere between 5.5 to 7ml/square meter (0.5 to 0.7 ml/square foot).

When applying, soak the application pad with a small amount of product and spread evenly over an area no larger than 2 by 2 feet. Remove any residue with a microfibre cloth for a smooth, high-gloss finish. Consumption varies depending on the porosity of the surface, typically requiring between 5.5 and 7 ml per square meter for optimal coverage.
