Cole Hersee Continuous Duty Solenoid - 12V - PVC Coated - 24117-01-BP

The labeling on lots of switches and relays is confusing. There are different applications and different approval agencies. From what I can find by digging on the manufacturer website this relay is designed for 85 A continuous. However, for some reason, whether technical or bureaucratic, the UL and CE ratings are only for 65A. If specific UL listing is not required then this relay should work fine for 85 A continuous.

I needed a 65 amp relay P/N 24117-01. I ordered it, and what arrived was in a 85 amp package with P/N 24117-01-BP, but the relay was labeled 65 amp on the label. It all worked out for me, but Cole Hersee is mislabeling or incorrectly packaging their solenoid.
