The Bennett V351HPU1 is the high-performance heart of the Bennett hydraulic trim tab system.¹ This 12V Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is a compact, powerful pump assembly designed to deploy and retract trim tabs with precision and incredible holding power. Known for its legendary reliability, the V351HPU1 is a direct replacement for HPUs in almost all Bennett classic hydraulic systems.

Engineering & Performance

The HPU is a "true" marine-grade pump. It features a high-torque motor combined with a pressure-relief valve that prevents damage to the system if the tabs encounter an obstruction. The translucent reservoir allows for quick fluid level checks at a glance.

To keep your V351HPU1 running for decades, ensure the hydraulic fluid (ATF) remains clean and free of water. If the fluid looks "milky," it has been contaminated with water and should be flushed. Always ensure the black rubber filler cap is securely seated.

A compact powerhouse that creates hydraulic pressure to lower and raise the trim tabs. It employs two solenoid valves to direct the flow of fluid to the actuators. The solenoid valves lock tightly to secure the tabs in place. Strength to lower and hold even the largest tabs in place. Lexan cover protects electrohydraulic unit from occasional wash down and translucent reservoir allows fluid check at a glance.
