Mounting Depth: For the best visual effect, Attwood recommends mounting these lights at least 10 inches (25 cm) below the waterline.

Underwater Use Only: These lights are designed to be water-cooled. Do not operate them out of the water for more than a few seconds, as they can overheat quickly without the surrounding water to dissipate heat.

Sealing the Hull: Use a high-quality marine sealant (like Sikaflex 291) in the 9/16" wire clearance hole and around the #8 mounting screws to ensure a watertight seal.

Wiring: Always use marine-grade tinned wire and heat-shrink connectors. This model features reverse polarity protection, so it won't be damaged if the wires are accidentally swapped during installation.
