Maintenance Pro-Tip:

To maximize the lifespan of your aluminum tank, Whale strongly recommends the use of a Magnesium Anode (sold separately). The anode rod acts as a "sacrificial" metal that prevents galvanic corrosion from eating through the tank walls. Check your anode annually and replace it once it has been consumed by 50% or more.
