When connected to an external GPS receiver, the GX1410B can display GPS position and time data on the radio’s screen and automatically poll the position of up to six vessels via DSC — optimizing situational awareness and safety during navigation.
With NMEA 0183 connectivity, you can share radio and GPS data with compatible chartplotters and GPS systems, expanding your vessel’s communication and navigation network. The unit also supports NOAA weather channels with weather alert, programmable scan, priority scan, dual watch, and a preset key for recalling favorite channels. ⚠️ Installation Tip: Enabling DSC
Since this is the non-GPS version, you must connect the radio to your GPS via the NMEA 0183 pigtail wires (typically Green and Blue) for your coordinates to show up on the screen and be sent during an emergency.
