Too tight a fit for post insert and removal

The sleeve in the base is so tight it is difficult to get the post in and out. I hate to imagine how tough it will be once they have been installed and subjected to weather, dirt, dust, and the like that will certainly end up in the base post receptacle. Any suggestions on what to use as a lubricant so I can pull the posts with ease as I rearrange seat locations?
