MotorGuide Katana 2-Blade Weedless Propeller - 8M4004173

Used this new prop a few times. It is by far the best prop made for a motorguide. I've used the triple blade which is great for open water but not weeds. I mainly used the safari prop since it was the best weedless option available and even with a ninja blade it would bog down in thick vegetation. I put this to the test in the thickest weeds I could find and it was flawless. I know with my safari prop I would get about 10 feet in and have to clean the prop of weeds. With this prop it just kept going. I will say that I still have the ninja blade on so that does help but the safari prop with the ninja blade would not come close to this katana blade. I can't say anything as far as the 30% more efficient claim but I can say that I get the same speed out of this as I did the safari prop so I don't see any downside to this new prop other than cost. It is made of better material too, a thicker molded plastic instead of the thin cheap plastic that tends to chip and break off on the safari.

The was a great improvement over the standard Xi5 prop. Seems to run quieter and effortlessly. Id purchase again after purchasing this one. The only drawback is it touches the bracket cover if turned the wrong direction in transit.

This is a fabulous prop, by far the best Motorguide has made. It is super quiet and the vibration is lower that the safari and machete props, and it provides ample thrust. I haven't tested the weedlessness of it, but so far it is fantastic.
