Guest 10A / 12V-24V - 2 Bank On-Board Battery Charger (28210)

The Guest 28210 is a versatile, fully automated 2-bank on-board battery charger designed for durability and ease of use. Part of Guest's high-efficiency charging lineup, this unit delivers a total of 10 Amps, providing 5 Amps per bank. It is specifically engineered for boats with two-battery systems, such as a dedicated starting battery and a house battery, or for charging a 24V trolling motor system in series.

Performance-Driven Charging

The 28210 features a sophisticated multi-stage charging profile that analyzes, charges, and maintains your batteries. By independently sensing each bank, the charger ensures that a depleted trolling motor battery gets the power it needs without overcharging a full starting battery. Its waterproof, shockproof construction ensures it can handle the constant pounding and moisture of the marine environment.

Key Features:

  • Independent Sensing & Charging: Each bank is fully isolated and senses the specific needs of the connected battery. This allows you to charge different battery types (e.g., a starting battery and a deep-cycle house battery) simultaneously without risk of under or overcharging.

  • 100% Waterproof & Shockproof: The unit is completely potted (sealed in epoxy), making it impervious to water, salt, and heavy engine vibration. It is rated IP67, meaning it can survive temporary submersion.

  • Smart 3-Stage Charging: The charger automatically moves through Bulk, Absorption, and Float stages. This not only recharges your batteries quickly but also maintains them at the proper voltage during the off-season to extend their total lifespan.

  • Safety & Protection: Features built-in protection against reverse polarity, over-current, and over-voltage. It is also ignition protected, making it safe for installation in gasoline engine compartments.

  • 2-Bank Dedicated Charging: Delivers 5 Amps per bank for the simultaneous and independent charging of two 12V batteries.

  • Multi-Stage Digital Technology: Automatically transitions through charging stages to maximize battery life and ensure a 100% charge every time.

  • 100% Waterproof & Shockproof: Built with a rugged, epoxy-potted housing that protects internal electronics from salt, moisture, and extreme vibration.

  • Universal Battery Support: Optimized for all 12V Flooded (Lead-Acid) and AGM batteries.

  • Maintenance Mode: Once charging is complete, the unit enters a monitor mode that keeps batteries at peak voltage for long-term storage without "boiling" or damage.

  • Safety & Protection: Includes integrated protection against reverse polarity, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature. It is ignition-protected for safe use in engine compartments.

  • Plug-and-Play Installation: Comes pre-wired with 6-foot AC and DC cables, including ring terminals and in-line fuses for a secure connection.

Why Choose the Guest 28210?

The 28210 is a "workhorse" charger for small to mid-sized fishing boats. It offers a perfect balance of size and power, providing enough amperage to recover standard Group 24 or Group 27 batteries overnight. Its ability to charge 24V systems without disconnecting the series jumper makes it a favorite for bass boat and skiff owners.

Installation Note:

To ensure the longest life for your charger, mount it in a location with at least some airflow to help dissipate heat during the bulk charging phase. For 24V systems, simply connect one set of DC leads to each 12V battery; the charger is designed to handle batteries connected in series automatically.

Installation Tip: To ensure maximum cooling efficiency, mount the charger in a location with at least 6 inches of clearance on all sides. When connecting to a 24V system (two 12V batteries in series), connect one 5A bank to the first battery and the second 5A bank to the second battery; the charger will automatically manage the series balance.
