Key Performance Features

• Standard SAE 5-Bolt Pattern: Designed to bolt directly into standard fuel or water tank bungs. It acts as the mounting interface between the tank and the TLM100 or TLM150 depth transducer.Signal Isolation: The "Focus Tube" design channels the ultrasonic pulse down a narrow column. This prevents the sensor from accidentally picking up "false echoes" from internal tank baffles, pumps, or uneven tank walls.

• Non-Displacement Optimization: While displacement hulls move smoothly, non-displacement hulls often experience different harmonic vibrations; the TFT-5H is tuned to ensure these movements don't disrupt the sensor's accuracy.

• Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Built from high-grade, fuel-safe materials that are compatible with gasoline, diesel, fresh water, and waste water (black water) applications.

• Vented Design: Features small pressure-equalization vents at the top of the tube to ensure the liquid level inside the tube is identical to the level in the rest of the tank.

Note: The focus tube must be cut to length based on your specific tank depth. It should generally be cut so it sits approximately 1-2 inches above the bottom of the tank to allow for liquid flow while maintaining the "still well" effect.

Installation & Calibration Tips

• Measuring Depth: Before cutting, measure the distance from the top of the tank mounting flange to the bottom of the tank. Subtract the required clearance (usually 1") and cut the tube cleanly.

• Vertical Alignment: For an ultrasonic sensor to work, it must be mounted as close to perfectly vertical as possible. The TFT-5H helps enforce this alignment within the tank.

• Calibration: After installing the TLM sensor onto the TFT-5H, you will need a Maretron USB100 or DSM-series display to configure the tank capacity and fluid type on the NMEA 2000® network.
