Totally Unsatisfactory Product

Used for the first time today since install due to the cov19 problem. I have an 18ft Heavy Aluminum boat which weights fully loaded with all equipment a maximum of 2000 lbs. This winch would not pull it into travel position with the boat trailer on a slight incline of the launch ramp. I had to secure the boat with ropes, go to level ground for the winch to move it close to travel position. To get the boat on far enough to attach the safety chain I had to go to a place where the front of the boat was going downhill and only then did I get it into travel position. It has a new, fully charged group 24, 1000cca rated battery dedicated to just it. This is the most overrated winch on the market. If you are using for anything larger that a small row boat you will be disappointed.

Nice unit

Looks nice - had to retire truck with a expensive wiring kit not installed yet as boat is in shop for lower end
