Use your imagination for mounting

I bought this meter since the face mounted meter is discontinued. To mount it, I bought a double gang electrical box and used a jig saw to remove material to mount it flush. To eliminate 50 feet of cable, I bought a 3 ft. 6 pin telephone cable and created a roll over cable so that the meter would work properly. I would post a photo but this site does not have that option. However, the meter produces the current load (DC controller), amps, cumulative amps used, and battery voltage. I like the ability to turn the back light on and off.

Pricey but somewhat useful

I would have preferred the Xantrex replacement panel that fits over the actual C-series unit. But that unit is no longer manufactured, and the remote unit is now the only option. You can get much cheaper digital readouts, but this is the only one specifically designed to work with the Xantrex controller. You'll also need a 2-switch electrical box to mount the remote. There's certainly plenty of cable included. I've found the remote itself to be only somewhat useful. It will let you know when your turbine is producing power, and approximately how much (in amps and watts). It keeps track of the battery charge, and the total amp hours. But that's it. I wish there was a way to record the highest and lowest turbine output levels. But it does what it's designed to do, and does sync perfectly with my C-60 controller.

Best Price, Fast Shipping

Anchor Express had the best price on the internet for this item and shipping was fast. The product works well. I wish it had a bigger display, thus the 4 star rating not 5. Otherwise it does function as described, though the voltage does not seem to be calibrated. Its close enough but could be better. Not sure if there is an adjustment on the PCB will have to investigate when I have more time.
