The Davis Air Dryer 500 (Model 5001459) is a compact, energy-efficient air moisture control unit designed to prevent condensation, mold, mildew, and corrosion in enclosed spaces up to approximately 500 cubic feet. Unlike traditional dehumidifiers that collect and drain moisture, this unit gently heats air above the dew point and releases dry air, keeping surfaces dry and reducing humidity without the need for drip pans or manual maintenance.
Ideal for marine cabins, bilges, V-berths, engine rooms, RVs, closets, storage compartments, or basements, the Air Dryer operates silently using natural convection — no fan, switch, or thermostat — and draws only about 0.6 amps (70 watts), similar to the power consumption of a standard light bulb.
