C.E. Smith 60" Post Boat Guide-On with U-Bolt Mounting Brackets & Unlighted Posts - 27640

I compared this CE Smith guide on set with other similar priced sets on the market. The metal posts extend 39 high into the pipes. For long posts like these, and large boats, having metal behind the plastic is important. Lots of other post sets only about 18-20 of metal, the rest is plastic pipe. The other product I seriously considered was the Sea Sense 60 post kit. While the Sea Sense kit seemed to include better galvanizing, it didn't seem to hold up any better after 6 months than this kit. Plus many people reported mismatched (some galvanized, some zinc) hardware that caused the nylon inserts to to get ejected from the nuts so they didn't lock. I didn't want to deal with looking for new hardware, and saw lots of good reviews for this set. After receiving it I'm very happy with the quality of the set and construction. I did have to order longer u-bolts (CE smith sells a kit with longer bolts) which I needed since my trailer is 3 x 5 tubing. This kit only fits up to 4 tubing as it ships, so keep that in mind so you're not disappointed.
