Installation & Operation Tips

• Power Draw: The motor only draws power while it is actively switching positions. Once in position, the internal mechanism is magnetically latched, meaning it draws zero current while sitting in the ON or OFF state.

• Wiring: You will need to run three small-gauge wires (Positive, Negative, and Control) from the switch to your helm. The main battery cables remain short and efficient, located right at the battery bank.

• Emergency Safety: If your house batteries go completely flat, you can still manually turn the knob on the 701-MD to the "ON" position to engage a backup or start battery.
